Whether you’re heading across the state or across the country, summer road trips are a staple of the season. Traveling with friends and family is bound to create memories while heading out on your own is a great way to get some time to yourself. Either way, preparation is important! Here are some tips for preparing for summer road trips from us here at Knight Automotive!

  1. Hydrate – While you might not be getting a great workout, hydration is still an important part of a road trip. Failing to stay hydrating could result in fatigue and weariness, neither of which are good when you’re driving on a congested highway. Staying hydrated is just as important as taking care of your car!
  2. Fluids – Getting your car some fresh fluids of its own is an excellent way to avoid any major breakdowns. Fresh oil, new coolant, and a standard check-up should cover everything. Make sure to bring spare fluids and a spare tire, just to be safe!
