The best holiday of the summer is nearly here! That’s right— the Fourth of July is just around the corner. That means cookouts, parades, and, of course, fireworks, all to celebrate our country’s birth! If you are looking for some Fourth of July events in Plattsburgh to truly make your holiday memorable, then make sure you check out these exciting activities.

Plattsburgh will host its 2015 Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4th. The festivities will kick off with the Red, White and Plattsburgh Fourth of July Parade. The parade, presented by First Weekends, will begin at 2 p.m. on Bridge Street and end on Cumberland Avenue. Once the parade is finished, the Red, White and Blue Color Relay will begin outside City Hall. This event is a fun and active way to show your patriotic pride.

At 7 p.m., The Bootleg Band will take the stage at the MacDonough Band Shell for a free concert. The Bootleg Band is a team of performers that work together to create a specialized American Rock and Roll sound.

After the concert ends, the fireworks begin. At approximately 9:30 p.m., everyone’s favorite display of reds, whites, and blues will light up the night sky, creating the perfect ending to the Fourth of July.

We hope that you will join Knight Automotive and the entire Plattsburgh community for the Fourth of July events in Plattsburg!
