Buick’s entire lineup of 2017 vehicles, including the Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Cascada, Encore, Envision, and Enclave, have earned 5-star ratings from the NHTSA. This is the third year in a row that Buick safety ratings have swept the 5-star category.

The Buick LaCrosse, Buick’s full-size sedan, was the most recent vehicle to get a 5-star rating after updates to its previous design made it longer and wider, plus improving the handling and safety. Lighter materials and high-strength steel helped improve the LaCrosse’s capability in a crash as well as its fuel efficiency.

The mid-size Regal also earned a 5-star rating for its 2017 model and comes with a range of available safety features like Side Blind Zone Alert and Lane Change Alert. The compact 2017 Verano is also built with high-strength materials to keep passengers safe in a crash plus plenty of available driver assist technologies.

The convertible Cascada was the first convertible of 2017 to earn a 5-star NHTSA rating, and the spacious full-size Enclave is the first vehicle in its class to have a Front-Center Airbag. The Encore and Envision crossovers also performed great in crash tests and come with all kinds of safety technologies.

Buick is sure to continue innovating in the field of safety for years to come.
