The Enclave may be one of GM’s oldest models, but Buick is determined to freshen up the vehicle and impress drivers with the upcoming 2018 model. There were photos recently snapped of a camouflaged 2018 Buick Enclave in Death Valley and critics were quick to note some visible changes.

The newer Enclave’s body looks visibly slimmer which might mean a lighter (and quicker) vehicle. It’s rumored to come standard with a new 3.6-liter V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. With the upgraded engine and lighter frame, one can expect better overall performance in the full-size SUV as well.

In the past, the Enclave comfortably seated eight but some concerns have risen that with the slimmed down body that this may now change to seven. Sacrificing passenger number might be worth it for Buick though, if it means attracting a newer audience for the vehicle including those leaning towards midsize crossovers.

We’re not sure exactly what the final changes will be on the updated 2018 Buick Enclave, but we do have to say that we’re excited! If you’re interested in getting a feel for the Enclave and all of its features, stop by Knight Automotive and we’ll get you all the information you need.
